this 4-week class meets
monday, october 5, 12, 19, & 26
from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Students will learn step by step how to throw basic forms on the potter’s wheel. In the first class, students will learn and practice making different vessels that could be wheel thrown such as mugs, bowls, and plates. Students will trim their thrown pieces and then work with stamps and tools to add different textures, designs, and attachments to their work. In the last two classes, students will apply underglazes and glazes to bring their pieces to life! Artwork will then be fired, and students will receive an email when it is time to pick up their work! Students are asked to bring an old rag or towel to use for clean up!
