STAA is thrilled to have Zona Wainwright back for her Abstract Mixed-Media Course! Students will explore the theories and techniques of larger scale abstract painting and investigate composition using the formal elements and principles of design. Each student will develop their personal expression and find their natural “mark” while further exploring the process of abstract art. Exercises may include blind contour drawing, spontaneous line drawings, observational painting, and composition investigation. Zona hopes to provide her students with the tools to explore new concepts, develop a creative voice, and build confidence as artists!
