What are Soft Pastels? Soft pastels, also known as Chalk Pastels, are small compact blocks of dry pigment and range from soft to hard working sticks. Chalk pastels blend easily and create a vibrant matte, soft finish drawing.

The 2-Day Soft Pastel Workshop is an efficient introduction to the vibrant, immediate possibilities of the medium. Each day begins with series of short warm-ups to build confidence in blending, mark-making, and color theory alongside live demonstrations of technique. Students will be encouraged to use their fingers to blend, smudge, and manipulate the material directly on the surface. All skill levels are welcome!
