Foundations: Drawing to Painting is a 6-week course structured to give students key skills in three different mediums: charcoal, acrylic and watercolor. Each medium will have an ‘Intro’ (Day 1)– step-by-step guide of how to use the medium followed by live demonstrations. Day 2 for each medium further explores techniques, live demonstrations by the instructor, and a completed drawing/painting on paper. The course builds confidence in foundational skills through various mediums. By experimenting in a variety of mediums, artists can see what they would like to personally further pursue through STAA’s programming and in their home studios. Foundations: Drawing to Painting is beginner friendly and open to all levels.
