The funds raised from this event will directly contribute to our operating expenses and repairs to the building, ensuring that our art house remains a vibrant hub for creativity.

Every first Wednesday, artists of all backgrounds meet to share ideas, learn from one another, and build a stronger creative community.
Each month features a fresh theme — from collaborative conversations and mini workshops to outdoor sketch walks, critique salons, storytelling nights, and more. Whether you’re looking to spark new ideas, meet fellow artists, or simply enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, this series offers a space to grow your practice and deepen your ties within the STAA community.
Come create, connect, and be part of a vibrant monthly tradition that celebrates the many ways art brings us together.

On April 1st, attendees are asked to bring any leftover or unwanted art supplies to swap, a work in progress for small group discussion, and a handy material, tool, or technique to share!

Art Under the Oaks provides entrepreneurial opportunities to local artists, while fostering creative community relationships by allowing artists to sell directly to the public.

Artists are required to provide their own supplies for set up: tent, chairs, tables, etc.
Artists will be allowed to set up beginning at 8:30am on Saturday, November 15th. Set up is NOT allowed until then.
It is not recommended, but artists are allowed to leave their set ups overnight. NO security will be provided. Artists leave any supplies and artwork at their own risk.

Mark your calendar because there are few better ways to kick off the fall season than with Fall for Art; a celebration of music, art, and performing arts. Fall for Art is a free festival held in the streets of the city’s historic downtown district. Produced by St. Tammany Art Association, the annual event draws thousands of patrons who come out to enjoy the live music, art demonstrations, performances and dining throughout our gorgeous town!

This year, Fall for Art will feature a sprawling Art Market along Columbia Street, live music, and demonstrations.

Artist Talk with Amanda Morris and Nonney Oddlokken

Join us Saturday, December 14th at 6pm for an Artist Talk with Thick with Color artists, Nonney Oddlokken and Amanda Morris!

In conjunction with our recent fibers show, “Thick With Color,” Morris discusses her works focus on personal worth within the realm of commodity culture, as it determines desirability on an individual level, and thus makes trophies of us all. She discusses her artworks, both lithographic and sculptural, the transitions and juxtapositions between the two, as well as delves into the meanings behind the use of materials, such as the taxidermy form, as they relate to commodity culture and consumerisms view on individuals but especially women.
