Introduction to Watercolor is a 4-week course that acquaints the beginner with the essentials of watercolor painting. Students will explore techniques, methods, and various properties of watercolors.
Students will learn the basics of slab building with clay to build a 3-D bird house. These birdhouses make the perfect housewarming gift, add a special touch to your yard, or act as an adorable addition to your home!
Beginner Color Mixing

This workshop is designed as an opportunity for beginning acrylic artists to learn color mixing using the color wheel as a guide. During the course of this workshop attendees will mix multiple bright and muted colors using three primary colors (red, yellow, blue) and white gesso. Students will paint one or more Picasso-style piece of art on canvas to practice the art of color-mixing.
In this beginner-level course, instructor Macy West Zimmer will teach students about the intricacies of oil paint, and students will create their own abstract paintings.
