Louisiana Film History

Since the very beginning of the film industry, Louisiana has enjoyed a love affair with the movies. Come out and hear Ed & Susan Poole talk about the preservation and presentation of Louisiana's rich film history and have a look at the significant contributions Louisiana, in particularly St. Tammany Parish.

A pop-up exhibit of Louisiana Movie Posters will be on view during regular gallery hours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 21 and with extended hours from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, June 22 at the St. Tammany Art Association, 320 N. Columbia St. in downtown Covington. There will be an entertaining presentation from 3-4 p.m. June 22 on Louisiana Film History. The exhibit is presented free as part of a new partnership between the STAA and the Pontchartrain FIlm Festival to bring media arts programming to all ages.
