Drawing from Life is an open level foundational course on charcoal drawing. The class will cover key principles to create a successful drawing by supporting the artists with practice in value, texture, composition and form from a staged still-life. A still-life is a composed arrangement of inanimate objects and colorful fabrics on pedestals. They create strong aesthetics in light and color. Using charcoal, the class will learn several techniques including straight-line, reductive, and contour drawing. Artists will complete at least three large drawings with numerous sketches and studies.
