Each week, participate in a workshop with different instructors and topics to learn new artistic techniques and create!
June 14th: Vintage Mantra Maidens with TT Rouse
Assemble and customize a figure that will provide you with an inspiring goal or quote each day! Use recylced materials and vintage images to bring your maiden to life!
June 21st: Sketching the Face with Meghan Garcia
Join Meghan to learn about the “golden ratios” and “divine proportions” that provide artists with the proper techniques to draw faces! Students will use graphite pencils to begin basic portraiture sketches.
June 28th: Bottle Painting with Robyn Kennedy
Do you think jumping onto a canvas is too big of a commitment? Join Robyn in this workshop and paint on an unconventional surface: Bottles! Students will have a variety of sizes and shapes to choose from, and Robyn will help you create a design and bring it to life!
July 12th: Floral Color Transfers with Janie Dick Papa
Do you want to step up your scrapbooking or collage game? Well, join Janie in this workshop where students will learn how to "pound” flowers in order to create successful color transfers. This technique creates abstract images with infinite design possibilities!
July 19th: “Junk” Journaling with visiting artist Karen Grande
Want to create a custom journal or learn a new collage technique? Join us for this workshop where students learn about the creative opportunities of working with vintage media, specifically children’s books!
July 26th: Macrame Earrings with Ruth Crisp of Knot Ruthlessly
Get tactile in this workshop where students learn basic macrame knots and techniques to create a pair of earrings! Make them short or long, small or large, basic or intricate! All ages welcome!
For Ages 18 & Up
** ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED - When appropriate, students are allowed to bring their own images, flowers, or other personal supplies.
Class Fee: $40 for STAA Members and $50 for Non-Members
