This Color Theory class will explore the theory, history and perception of color through hands-on color mixing and painting. Students will create a variety of color wheels and each week, will create a small painting applying color mixing theory using the various color wheel relationships to learn color harmony, contrast, and value. We will explore how colors affect us and how the we perceive color. This class will also cover the principles of design, the elements of art, and the Divine Proportion when planning out the small painting designs.
