Need a last minute gift or interested in private pottery wheel instruction? Resident ceramics instructor, Janie Dick, is offering private, 4 session private pottery courses in 2024!
Students will learn step by step how to throw basic forms on the potter’s wheel. In the first two classes, students will learn and practice making different vessels that could be wheel thrown such as mugs, bowls, and plates. Students will trim their thrown pieces and then work with stamps and tools to add different textures, designs, and attachments to their work. In the last class students will apply glazes and the instructor will give students a time and date to pick up their fired pieces. Students are asked to bring an old rag or towel to use for clean up!
